BiographyEdit

Early lifeEdit

Not much is known about Stewart's early life. She attended New York University's Gallatin School, and graduated with a degree in philosophy.

CareerEdit

Stewart began her career making music videos, working with Macy Gray, Common, Eve, Keisha Cole, Joss Stone, Jay-Z, Missy Elliot, Bilal, and 50 Cent. Later, she started directing episodes of multiple television series including Pretty Little Liars, Grey's Anatomy, Scandal, How To Get Away With Murder, Major Crimes or UnReal.

In 2015, Stewart also directed Lifetime's With This Ring. She earned two nominations at the 47th NAACP Image Awards for this film, Outstanding Directing in a Motion Picture (Television) and Outstanding Writing in a Motion Picture (Television). The film was also a commercial success, becoming one of the five most-viewed films on Lifetime that year and a cable television ratings success among women.

In 2017, Stewart wrote and directed another film for Lifetime: Love by the 10th Date'. It stars Meagan Good, Kelly Rowland and Brandon T. Jackson will. Her other projects include Our Icon, a documentary about Michael Jackson for BET; and Bitches, a comedy series produced by Ben Stiller for Hulu. She also served as an executive producer of For Colored Girls.

In 2018, Stewart directed an episode of the ABC series, A Million Little Things.[1]
